Suhas khamkar, Heera win silver at Amateur Mr. Olympia 2012

This year has been memorable to all bodybuilding fans in India because some of our champions have done extremely well in prestigious international events.
My good friend Suhas Khamkar and Heera Lal have won second place in Amateur Mr. Olympia contest held on November 29-30 in Kuwait.
Khamkar earlier won bronze medal in the world championship conducted by the International Federation of Body Builders (IFBB), at Ecuador.

Sangram Chougule rocks Mr. South Asia 2012
Another great friend of mine, Sangram Chougule, bagged ‘Mr. South Asia’ overall title at the Ninth South Asian Bodybuilding Championship held in November at Ludhiana, Punjab. It was held under the aegis of Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (ABBF).
Participating countries included India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives and Nepal. India was represented by a 16-member team and bagged the Team Championship honour!!!
HIV positive Manipuri champion, Khundrakpam Pradipkumar, won the title in 65 kg weight category. Pradipkumar reportedly placed 8th in the world championship last year.
